AnonymouS

A superhero mug
AnonymouS caters to the hipster’s little cousin - skater geek. The majority of the clientele look like they’ve just stepped off the skateboard park or out of the comic book store around the corner and those who don't fit the mould perch awkwardly on the wooden seats like parents trying to look comfortable at a school open day when the furniture they are sitting on was designed for 10 year olds.
It has a younger feel to the other cafes with its comic book chic that has to be seen to be believed; coffee is served in superhero mugs, water served in jam jars, the cushions have PacMan designs and the staff have Spiderman tattoos and Captain America caps. In their downtime those baristas play with yoyos, and massive darts and other geeky games to help them pass the time and to show off in front of the younger clientele. Downstairs the café is set up for us to appreciate their work, it is an amphitheatre, everyone facing the stars on stage, in this case those actors behind the bar. I wonder if we are evolving, I’m used to sitting opposite the person I am having a conversation with and at my age contorting my body to speak so someone sitting beside me is hard work but the youngsters seem fine with the seating arrangements, twisting their bodies at unnatural angles to allow face-to-face communication to continue unhindered.
The swing.
Worryingly the tables also act as chairs meaning there is a likelihood that your coffee rests on a surface that someone was breaking wind on just moments before. The centrepiece of the room is the two-seater swing which only seems to attract youths with godlike beauty.  It’s as if those sat there come straight from a modelling agency and are employed by the owners to attract us mere mortals in.
Despite the playful look of the place they do take their coffee seriously, one barista even has the word coffee tattooed on his arm! In fact they are so protective of their coffee that there is a sign that reads Cukr? Leda do bábovky, (sugar, only in the cake) and as far as I could see there was no sugar in the place at all, you can ruin your coffee if you want but not on their watch.

I like Anonymous, okay it is maybe a bit too quirky, maybe a little too arrogant, maybe a little bit up itself but you get the feeling it does all of that with a knowing smile and a sense of humour and more importantly the coffee is good.

    A very funny non-review as usual :)
    These lines made me smile:
